(Episode 53) Presidential Minisode 9: Poor Old William Henry Harrison
In our ninth minisode, we discuss William Henry Harrison, whose term as POTUS lasted a whopping 32 days. At some point in your school history lessons, you might have learned the slogan, "Tippecanoe and Tyler, too!" We'll refresh your memory on that, update your memory about Harrison's tumultuous dealings with Native Americans, and make new memories about some weird/fun facts.
We're adding time to our minisodes to discuss the status of important civil movements or unrest occurring during each President's tenure, including the status of slavery. We hope this revamped approach will help us reach a good balance between fun stuff and serious stuff, both of which offer important context to history and to our lives.
Oh, and if you want to know more about SCOTUS's faithless electors decision Sam mentions in this episode, check out SCOTUSblog.
